(Audio oral histories in archival sets, 2002, 2004, 2005)
This decade-long effort includes first-person accounts of the seven-year struggle that culminated in the New York City Watershed Memorandum of Agreement. The two-volume, 321 page set includes transcripts, photos, and audio CDs of interviews with negotiators from the Watershed, New York City, the governor's office, and the environmental community. The collection is a classic case study in mediation and conflict resolution and a unique history of the watershed. The 12-interview set has been distributed to 30 public and college libraries in the Catskill/Delaware watershed and New York City and is archived at five additional sites in the Catskill/Delaware watershed. Funding was provided by the Catskill Watershed Corporation and the Coalition of Watershed Towns.
